Beacons

Informed by the tradition of paper lanterns, beacons are dynamic objects that reflect their environment. They react to their ambient surroundings, to one another, and express the colloquial human condition in real time.

The beacons project grew out of an investigation of Chinatown neighborhood boundaries in New York City and a desire to express the constant flux and unique qualities of each enclave.
