NYC Rooftop Capture Game
A proposal for a long-play game that utilizes the NY city grid, urban rooftops, and Google Earth imagery. Two teams make their own large, satellite viewable game pieces using a 10'x10' white sheet marked with a red or black circle (or any other two predetermined colors). The object is for one team to surround or "capture" a piece belonging to the other team. The game is over when the aerial image is updated by Google. The team with the most captured pieces wins.
Google Earth imagery in New York City and other urban areas updates randomly, on 3 month to 1 yr intervals. The game requires strategizing without knowing when the game will end.
